Purchase Executive

Job Description

• Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
• Source reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable terms (price, quality, delivery timelines).
• Manage vendor relationships and performance through periodic evaluations.
• Forecast demand, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely procurement to avoid stockouts.
• Collaborate with product development and production teams to understand material requirements.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and alternative suppliers.
• Handle import/export documentation and coordinate with logistics for timely deliveries (if applicable).
• Implement ERP systems and maintain accurate procurement records.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the lighting or electrical manufacturing industry.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software (ERP/SAP/Tally) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of local and international sourcing practices.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in vendor development in China or other international markets.
• Understanding of LED components and lighting product standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
